What Makeup Colors to Use if you Have Pale Skin and are Prone to Redness or Acne

What Makeup Colors to Use if you Have Pale Skin and are Prone to Redness or Acne

Author: Katie Moran

Pale skin can be very translucent so finding the right foundation is one of your most important tasks. You may find that being so fair that you are a little more prone to ageing especially if you live in a sunny climate. I would recommend that if your foundation doesn't contain a good amount of SPF that you always apply sunscreen on a daily basis as part of your beauty routine and, before your foundation to aid you in slowing the ageing process.

A yellow or beige tint to your base should be enough to minimize the slight redness from your skin if you are prone to acne or if you’ve been exposed to the elements for too long. It will give you a little warmth to your skin tone. Make sure the color match is perfect, because if your base is too dark, you will look like you are wearing a mask. Use your foundation to even out your skin tone preparing it for the artwork to come next.

Go easy using bright colors on your eyes, as on pale skin they tend to be a bit too much. Try soft pastels, sheer shimmers and natural hues with warm undertones. A little mascara is good too. If your iris is pale then you may need to wear a taupe liner to frame your eyes. Groom your eyebrows and line with a blonde brow powder or smudged pencil.

Cheek color is where you can bring a little more than the usual natural glow into your coloring. You need richer tones like sheer plum cheek tints and go for a deeper shade of lipstick. This will contrast nicely with brown or red hair. Experiment with brown-reds or berry shades and for a more dramatic evening look a go for true reds.

Coral shades are emerging. I love using a gingery sheer eye gloss, lashings of dark brown mascara, lots of warm cheek tint on the apples of my cheeks. I add a hint of shimmer across the top to bring the eyes out. I might use nude glossy lips for something a little funkier and it looks divine on translucent fair skin. I’m a redhead myself but you may have to alternate tones depending on your coloring and hair color.

Have fun discovering your new colors.

Tip 2: Lighten up with lighter colors: Think about moving up a shade in shadow and blush hues for a clean spring look. "Dark colors can really weigh your face down during summer months," says Ms. Harrington . "Right now warm, neutral colors are in....but..... Pink is the hot color of the season. Tips And Tricks To Application Of Makeup!

Author: Danielle Rivers

As people grow older, washing the face and applying an astringent is not enough. Women apply make-up on their face to make them stand out. There are many brands available and selecting the right one is needed to improve your appearance.

A concealer can help hide the dark spots on the cheeks and below the eyes. Select a color that is lighter than the foundation you will use. If the concealer is likely to cake, apply an eye cream beforehand.

Foundations come in different shades. You should choose one that is nearest your skin color. Most of these come in packs that have a small mirror and sponge for easy application. Uneven application should be fixed by using your fingertips. This can be applied as many as two to three times a day, depending on the person.

The cheeks are most visible when the person smiles. This will make it easier for the individual to brush up on spots that were not covered during the first coating.

The color of the eyebrows is an important part of enhancing your appearance. There are two ways to do this. The first is by using a pencil and the other is by using a brush. There are people who choose one over the other but most people have experienced better results when using a brush.

Women who want to stand out, especially at parties should use some eye shadow. Many brands have eye shadow in three different colors which can be used at the same time. The lightest shade of the three can be applied below the eyebrow, the medium should be used in the crease and the darkest shade should be applied on the eyelids.

Eyelashes can be improved by using an eye liner. A person can use this along the base of the lashes. We all want to look our best, it makes us feel good and gives us confidence. Check out fat workouts for some great tips on getting rid of stubborn fats! Besides an eye liner, an individual can apply mascara on the lashes. Most women choose a color which is similar to the color of the hair or a shade slightly darker.

The most important thing to do before going out is apply some lipstick. Many women choose the red tones but other shades that compliment your skin tone can also be used. Looking great means feeling great! So, check out the secrets on how you can look and feel absolutely great at http://www.diets-weightloss.info

A person doesn't always have to look glamorous when going out, but a few touches of make-up here and there are more than enough to make the your face stand out.

Makeup for Aged Women

Makeup for Aged Women

Author: Robert Baird

Beauty and women were always related to each other since the ancient times. No matter of what age is the woman, she wants to look good. Today not only girls apply make-up but the aged women also apply make-up to themselves. They consider their lips to be the most important part of their beauty. They can make any type of man come towards them by just using the beauty of their lips. Their lip make-up include lip gloss, lip sense, lip pencil etc. Lip glosses provide moisture and shine to the lips and prevent it from dryness. Lip sense is a semi permanent color to the lips as per the woman's choice and keep the color smear proof and water proof. It also provides moisture to the lips. Lip pencils outline the lip line and make the lips more beautiful.

If an aged woman applies well chosen make-up then she can look even 10 to 15 years younger than her present age. First of all make up adds color to the pale skin of the aging woman. It makes the skin to looks as young as it was 10 years ago. It adds a tone to the paler aging skin and covers the aging factor of the body and gives a whole new look to the woman. It gives a new definition to the whole body. For example, by thinning eyebrows or darkening the lip line can redefine the beauty of a woman. It makes the woman feel young again.

Make up enhances the beautiful points of the woman. A correctly applies make up highly enhances those parts of the face that a woman thinks are most important to define their beauty. They include eyes, lips, cheeks etc. A correctly applied make up enhances the eye brows making the eyes more attractive. Lip sense and lip pencil can make the lips look more attractive, kissable and lustrous. It covers the pale color of the lips with its dark color when perfectly applied and makes the woman young again.

A make up can reduce the dark pockets beneath the eyes up to a great extent. This shows that make up can also disguise imperfections. The best example of this fact is that the thinner lips of aged women can be improved by using lip sense and lip pencil correctly which makes them thick by covering them with color and marks a perfect lip line around the lips. Finally, a well applied make up highly boosts the confidence of a woman. Once the woman has the make up on her face she feels automatically smarter and more beautiful than ever.

How Do you Achieve a Desirable Look Without the Heavy Use of Cosmetics and Makeup?

Author: Steven James

Natural beauty is akin to an overall healthy appearance. Start with a better lifestyle. Your own attitudes and daily life reflects on how you look to others. Take care of your body and it will take care of you. Eat a proper, well-balanced diet. Food that’s good for your body helps your internal organs function properly and shows on the outside as well. The trick is to read the labels carefully and eat healthy foods with minimal preservatives. Good nutrition is key to your outward appearance and longevity.

Not everyone wants a complete makeover as some like to preserve a more natural appearance. Let’s face it, many men are attracted to the low-maintenance, “girl-next-door” looks and accomplishing that can be just as challenging as looking model-perfect. So, how do you achieve a desirable look without the heavy use of cosmetics and makeup? Our natural beauty tips and advice will help you do just that, and put you on the path to a beautiful, unaffected, you.

As you age, you’ll hit some bumps along the way. Care for your skin as you do your most prized possession and you’ll see the benefits quickly, as well as years from now. Don’t want leathery skin? Lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by reducing exposure to the sun’s dangerous rays. When enjoying outdoor activities, apply a sunscreen with SPF of, at least, 15 and re-applying when necessary.

If you wish to wear makeup, utilize only the best cosmetics brushes and beauty tools to enhance your finest features and cover flaws. This allows you to apply only the amount that is needed while blending in any excess color. Apply a tinted moisturizer or sheer foundation with a damp sponge. Either one will allow your natural skin tone to show through while covering minor imperfections. Creme or liquid blush blends more naturally than powder. Apply to the apple of your cheeks, outwards, into your hairline to prevent makeup lines.

The best skin in the world will not overcome a flabby body. Get in good physical shape if you’ve been slacking off. Set some reasonable fitness goals to get your body fit and trim. Begin with short-term goals and set new ones once they’re achieved. Water plays a crucial role. For radiant looking skin , drink plenty of water to keep it hydrated and supple. Seal in water externally after a shower by applying lotion to damp skin. Look for all-natural, organic and herbal recipes for basic skin problems. Whether it’s dry skin or blemishes, you can target the areas that need it most, foregoing chemicals that can be irritating to your skin.

Stress is an unfortunate fact in today’s fast-paced lifestyle and often reflects in your skin and eyes. Make it routine to relax and pamper yourself, daily if possible. This will give you time to slow down and plan the following day. Become aware of the facial expressions you often make when stressed-out. If you raise your eyebrows often, you could very well end up with permanent wrinkles on your forehead. If you squint because you don’t understand something, lines between your brows may become evident. Don’t expect to live without facial expressions, they’re part of you. What you can do is be aware of those expressions you make when nobody is looking. Replace those with something else, such as fidgeting and ease up on your face.

Makeup Tips for the Fall and Winter Season: Go Bold!

Makeup Tips for the Fall and Winter Season: Go Bold!

Author: Barbara Harrington

Hockessin, Delaware , November 5, 2006—It can be hard to go outside the norm when it comes to choosing a makeup color. Typically, when you find the color that works for you, it is that same color you grab out of the cosmetic bag every day. With the season changing however, cosmetic experts are saying to take a chance and change your look. And whatever you do make it bold!

Instead of keeping up with the soft, sporty, sun-kissed look of the summer, one makeup tip is to begin using more bold colors in your makeup regime to take you into the fall season, said Barbara Harrington, a Hockessin resident and distributor for SeneGence International®.

Bold lip and eye colors are perfect for fall seasonal events and holiday parties. And vibrant make-up will offset the darker, heavier clothing often found in your fall/winter wardrobe. So, be fearless with color, but be careful not to go overboard" cautions Harrington as her next makeup tip.

"A bold eye or a bold lip is the perfect accessory for the fall," said Harrington. "Pick a feature to define: bright, bold colors like berry tones, plums and reds are perfect for lips and deep shades such as indigo, onyx and charcoal will make the eyes really stand out are some other makeup tips to consider for transition into our next season."

"This is the time of year where you can try new things while defining your best features. Be creative and have fun with color," said Harrington. "With bright, bold colors, you can make a statement."

Berry-toned colors usually work for all skin tones, but if you are not sure which colors will look best on you and if you don't usually wear makeup.

"Accentuate one feature: Pick either your eyes or lips. If you heavily define both features, it will look overwhelming and unnatural" states Harrington.

There is no need to be heavy on the blush either when there is emphasis on your eyes or lips, but a touch of bronzing powder on your chin, forehead and cheek will give a nice sun-kissed look that is perfect year-round, said Harrington in her next makeup tip.

Information on Makeup and Beauty

Author: Perry Smith

From times immemorial, beauty has probably been the most important aspect of a lady’s life. Whether it is Shakespeare or Wordsworth, or any of the more contemporary literary and artistic scholars of today, a woman’s beauty is definitely considered to be an aspect of prime importance in her personality. In the ancient era, however, natural beauty was venerated and admired, unlike that in the modern world of today, when the only way to maintain one’s beauty without any help is never to leave one’s house, especially during the day, due to the massive amount of pollution caused by industrialization and other factors. However, that too, is not exactly a full-proof way to maintain yourself.

It is said that if you are beautiful on the inside, you’re definitely so on the outside. The former part of this saying, though, may be interpreted as indicating good inner health and well-being, rather than simply admirable values and principles. If you are healthy - physically, mentally as well as emotionally, then it will definitely be manifested in your appearance. This is the first and foremost thing to remember – eat the correct things, and keep regular hours, for it will help make your skin glow with healthy radiance.

Now, when it comes to skincare, first you ought to know what kind of skin type you possess. Your skin may be oily, dry, or a combination one. Normally, it is the oily skin that causes much trouble, in the form of stubborn acne and pimples. For this kind of skin, it would be beneficial for you to use cosmetics that are citrus-based, for they will help remove excess oil from your face. Dry skin usually needs to be given frequent and extra doses of moisturizer, to maintain the suppleness. Combination skin, though, needs a little more attention, for it changes according to the prevalent season.

Be careful to see that you choose the right cosmetics for your skin type, for otherwise you might end up ruining it irreparably. You may select a daily or weekly routine to take good care of your skin, and follow it religiously. The basic steps in the daily skincare routine are scrubbing, cleansing, toning and moisturizing. While you will get innumerable artificially created cosmetics in the market for this purpose, it is always safer to use natural means of ensuring the outer health of your skin. It would be wise to consult your beauty expert or dermatologist to know which natural or artificial products to use on your face. Apart from that, a couple of quick visits to the beauty salon a month will definitely not go amiss.

Now, since we are talking about facial skin, it would be a crime to miss out on a very important topic – makeup . The basic rule of makeup is that you should wear it in such a way that it doesn’t show, and looks natural. The kind of makeup you wear depends on the occasion and setting too, though. For instance, a light base of foundation, followed by a light dab of powder and blusher will be enough for a normal day at work. The eye-shadow and lipstick could match your attire in terms of color. On a special occasion, though, especially if it taking place in the evening, your make-up ought to be slightly more elaborate, so that it enhances your facial structure better, without looking too loud or artificial. Here again, it is very important to see that the makeup products that you choose suit your skin well. Also, be extremely careful not to use anyone else’s makeup, for it might end up tarnishing your skin.

Apart from skincare, another aspect of beauty is a woman’s hair. It is important for you to be extra careful about your hair, too, for the health of your hair affects that of your skin.

Makeup and Skincare for a Picture-perfect Face!

Author: Monica M. Burns

Being a Fashionista of sorts, My love for Makeup and SkinCare products is as big as my love for shoes! I have very sensitive skin and I am limited to what I can apply to my face and skin. Even some of the most expensive products don't work for me. So I had to just shop around and find products that were made for sensitive skin as well as produce the results that I was seeking. The following are a few of my favorites:

ONight of Olay Firming Cream – Enriches skin with intense moisture for up to 12-hours. It firms skin as you rest, increasing resiliency for more toned skin. 100% oil free and greaseless. www.olay.com or Fine Drugstores.

OMaybelline Great Lash Mascara in Blackest Black – Conditions your lashes as it thickens, Lash Brush makes it easy to get full lashes without clumps. www.maybelline.com or Fine Drugstores.

O Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse Foundation – Whipped formula, air-soft, perfect matte finish with a weightless feel. Blends perfectly and effortlessly, also long-wearing! www.maybelline.com or Fine Drugstores.

OCetaphil Gentle Cleansing Bar – This is a gentle non-alkaline, non-soap cleansing bar. It moisturizes as it cleans and is free of harsh detergents that can irritate the skin. www.cetaphil.com or Fine Drugstores.

As you can see, the products listed are not at all expensive, but they work just as good if not better, than those of leading Department Store brands. I have tried all kinds and types, expensive department store brands and non-expensive drugstore brands. You have to find the product that works best for you and your particular skin type and tone. Sometimes breakouts are not caused by the products that you use, but sharing the products you use with others. Bacteria grows everywhere and anywhere, including on makeup brushes, counters, and those who you allow to utilize your makeup mechanicals.

So…......choose products that are great for your skin type and skin tone. Products that produces the results that you are seeking. It will be a task of shopping around, testing, and choosing. Do not make this task difficult, after all it is your face and skin that's at stake and you want to put your best face forward!

How Do You Know When To Wear Makeup?

How Do You Know When To Wear Makeup?

Author: Nicholl McGuire

Back when you were a child your parent or guardian told you when you should wear makeup for most young girls the magic number was 16. We can all agree that most girls don't need it, yet they wear it anyway because they like the way they look in it and most of all it makes them look older. Now let's speed up to age 26 plus, why is it that some women avoid wearing make up when they need it? Is there no one around them to tell them that they should wear it? Do they think they look better or younger without it? Maybe. So how does one know when to start incorporating in their daily regimen a time for makeup application? The following statements will answer that question.

People often say that you look old, worn, or tired.

If this statement has been repeatedly told to you, then you need to consider what people are saying. Working long hours, stress, diet and other reasons may be the cause for it. However, if you have done all that you can to brighten up your face and still people don't seem to respond very well to you, then add some makeup to your face.

The lines on your face are making you appear older than your age.

Tired of misunderstanding people when they say you don't look your age? Listen to the relative or friend who has been telling you the truth, "You don't look your age, you look older." This is a clear sign it is time to visit a makeup consultant who can tell you how to apply make up that will make you sincerely look better and if younger is what you want, then go for it!

Your mate no longer looks at you like he once did when you wore makeup.

Remember when he looked at your face when he thought you weren't looking? He talked about how beautiful you looked. Well, you can rekindle those moments by doing special for not only him, but for yourself. Apply some makeup.

You have tried everything to make your complexion clear and youthful looking, but nothing works.

Some markings on your face will not go away no matter what you eat, cream you apply or medicine you take. Make up is a simple solution to cover up those unattractive markings on your face.

You don't like what you see in the mirror or have grown bored with your appearance.

Make up can be a nice gift for yourself when you simply want a change. Why not check out a magazine at the local drug store, find a celebrity's make up you like, then visit the make up aisle and pick out some colors? Go home and dress up your face like you were a child again, you never know what you might end up liking in the mirror?

You have the kind of face that makes people think you are angry, upset or confused often.

People will only respond to you in the way that you look at them. Now on occasion, there are those that no matter how pleasant you are they will still glare, we aren't talking about those people. If you find that your facial expressions misrepresent how you feel on the inside, then touch up your face with some makeup.

In summary, when people have boldly pointed out flaws on your face, you aren't happy with the way you look, and you have already tried make up but don't like how it looks, it is time to visit a make up consultant, do some research, and most of all be bold wear it and allow yourself to get comfortable in it. Tell yourself that you will no longer allow yourself to walk around in public not looking your best! Inventors have spent long hours on a daily basis trying to come up with a product that would make women and (some men) feel better about themselves, why not take advantage of it?

Proper Eye Makeup Will Cheer up Your Appearance - Tips from the Experts

Proper Eye Makeup Will Cheer up Your Appearance - Tips from the Experts

Author: David Maillie

Eyes speak volumes, giving you individuality; however, a little eye makeup can just do wonders – empowering your twin gazers to spell their magic over everything. People belonging to ancient civilizations were sensible enough to recognize the importance of cosmetics and engaged in elaborate eye makeup.

The tradition continues even today and the modern beauties deem eye make up as the best way to heighten physical attractiveness. Hence, no matter what color or shape your eyes are, clever usage of eye make up can turn them to beauty assets, giving them greater depth and meaning.

How to get on with your eye make up?

Usage of eye shadow, eyeliner and mascara in keeping with essential beauty tips completes the makeup for your eyes, unless and until you have dark circles under you eyes. You may hide your dark circles with a few dots of concealer.

Eye Shadow

Available in a beautiful array of powders, creams and glittery dustings, eye shadows highlight and define the eyes by creating depth. Natural shades that go well with your skin tone will enhance your looks and add to your individuality. Therefore, select earthy tones such as beige, brown, gold or plum. Apply dark colored shadow on your eyelids if you have large eyes; this will make the eyes appear small. Using lighter color helps give eyes a larger effect.

Eyeliner

Give your eyes the real definition by applying a thin line of eyeliner. The line should be as close to the lash line as possible. If you want a heavy make up, you may go for a darker and thicker line. Going by standard beauty tips, you should stick to natural colors such as black or brown or else give in to your imagination. Pencil, liquid eyeliners are available in various colors.

To achieve the best definition, line both the lower and upper lid. Line the upper lid from the inside corner to the outside corner; for the lower lid draw a line just under the lashes.

Mascara

Mascara gives you a majestic gaze by framing your eyes in beautiful flaps of thick, dark, long eyelashes. Again, black and brown are hot favorites in mascara. Generally, two coats of mascara are applied; however, you will be required to give the first coating a little drying up time before you go ahead with the final finish.

Makeup is no less than art and so is eye makeup. The secret to success with this art is not overdoing. A valuable beauty tip for you would be – Indulge in eye makeup to the degree that it keeps the natural beauty of your eyes intact, giving them more glitter, expression and life.

Foundation Makeup Tips - Corrective Makeup Using Foundation

Author: Alien

Choosing the right foundation is the first step to a successful makeup result. Perfect matching foundation can only be assessed by correct estimation of skin type, natural color and skin tone. Since most Caucasian, Latin, African and Asian women have yellow-based skin, they must buy foundation with a yellow base too so that it doesn't look like a mask

Once you have found your perfect foundation, it is time to apply it properly.

Prepare the skin so that it is in suitable condition to receive make-up: Wash your face thoroughly with face wash and fresh running water (not too cold, not too hot either), dub the face with a clean towel (never rub), then splash plenty of toner and use the right amount of moisturiser

Similar to lip balm on a harsh winter day, the right foundation can act as a protective coating to help save your skin from the tough elements you face in your daily life. Sun, wind, cold weather, and other environmental components can damage your skin, but a good foundation can easily aid in preventing such damage.

You will know you have chosen the best foundation when you find that the shade virtually disappears on your face.

If you still find you are stuck on foundation shades, your best option is to choose the slightly darker shade that contains yellow undertones.

Choosing a foundation with a little yellow will likely help even out your facial complexion. This is because yellow based foundations work well on just about everyone. The yellow minimizes any red you may have in your skin, which may be a result of tanning, aging, or broken capillaries.

If you have dry skin, go for a lighter effect with your foundation, otherwise you can accentuate the dryness of your skin.

Before you apply your foundation, you should always apply a moisturizer first. A good, lightweight moisturizer can help lock in moisture and allow for a smoother application of the foundation.

Use a cosmetic sponge to apply your foundation. This will give you a smoother look and is how professional makeup artists obtain their best results.

When you apply your foundation, start in the center of your cheeks and your forehead. From these places you can blend outward with the soft hairs of your face and get a smoother look and even coverage.

If you find that you need more coverage, you can wait for your first application to dry and then apply another layer. Keep your foundation with you if you find you need to reapply during the day.

A great way to set your foundation and achieve a polished look is to apply loose powder with a soft brush. This is also a technique professional makeup artists use.

Forms of Makeup Foundation:

* Stick Foundation: This is a cream foundation and concealer in one. It works well for normal to dry skin. It will provide more coverage and it is quick to apply.

*Translucent Veil: Because of its talc-free formula, with added vitamin E and green tea antioxidants, the Translucent Veil protects skin as it works to hide blemishes and dark spots.

* Liquid Foundation: Most common foundation because it works for practically everyone. Liquid foundation gives good coverage and there are many formulas to choose from. A majority of cosmetic companies have different forms of liquid foundation for normal, dry, combination and oily.

How To Apply Blusher?

Use the colour on the blush area. This is the part of the face between parallel lines, one extending outward from the corner of your eye and the second from the bottom of your nose.Smile and lightly touch the blusher brush on the fatty part of the cheek and gently brush the blusher toward the temple, making a slight curve.A touch of colour across the forehead and on the chin cometes the look. The cream rouge is applied to the cheeks with the fingertips in small amounts and spread in the desired fashion. The powder blusher is applied with a brush.

Natural Mineral Makeup: Glow Of Youth At The Tip Of A Brush

Natural Mineral Makeup: Glow Of Youth At The Tip Of A Brush

Author: Sherry Frewerd

Fine lines got you down? Stop that scalpel! You don't need a face-lift, a fine natural makeup brush and natural mineral makeup will fix your wrinkles, cover your blemishes, and enhance your natural beauty.

Heavy oily makeup makes skin hang and sag as you forcefully blend it, pulling and pushing on tender delicate skin. You have a better option. Set your skin free!

Natural cosmetics offer mineral foundation powders applied with the delicate wisp of a brush. Color touches the skin like a glow of light, allowing the sheer luxury of translucent powder to accent your natural complexion, clearing tiny lines and eliminating blemishes.

You can ignite the glow within; using refined mineral foundation powder created from finely milled organic pigments found in necessary mineral nutrients. Toxic chemicals peel tender layers of delicate skin tissue as you rub and massage them into your skin to even out skin tones and blend colors. Natural cosmetic powders glide on with the feather light touch of a brush imparting protection from sun-damage with high SPF ratings and natural protection from the sun's damaging UVA and UVB rays.

Natural mineral makeup offers excellent coverage without heavy oils that cause blemishes and skin irritation. Mineral foundation powder stays in place without streaking and running, like heavy liquid make-ups. Most makeup companies produce their own lines of mineral powder cosmetics including foundation, eye shadow, blush, concealers, and eyeliners.

Because of the small amount required for each use, you'll want to find the best natural mineral makeup available. One container of powder lasts approximately a year with every day use. Natural cosmetics do not need to be replaced until they are used up, unlike regular oil based liquid makeups.

To apply natural cosmetics using a fluffy brush, you collect a bit of the translucent powder on the end of the brush, tap lightly and gently glide the brush across your cheeks, eyelids, forehead and chin. Gracefully blend the powder across all areas of your face with the large brush. Fine lines will disappear and blemishes fade to supple silky smooth skin.

As springtime, the glow of good health and youth spring forth with the use of natural cosmetics. Serene beauty and youth appear quickly because the translucent powder imparts a subtle glow as it gently fills the tiny lines and corrects imperfections. Your skin becomes smooth and silky when you use natural cosmetics, allowing the normal elasticity of your skin to conform to your facial structure.

With the flowing precision the softly bristled brush enhances contours of your skin refreshing your youthful exuberance and natural beauty. Natural cosmetics simplify the process of putting on make up every morning by taking the oils and liquid out of your routine.

If you haven't tried the newest cosmetic creation, I strongly recommend you do so at your earliest convenience. You will be pleasantly rewarded with a youthful and healthy appearance and a revitalized morning routine. Your budget might even say thanks for the extra relief!

Tips to Apply Makeup for Parties

Author: peterhutch

For a special occasion, such as a wedding, Christmas party, New Year's party, or even a fun night out on the town, it's fashionable to match the tone of your party face to the outfit. For example, an outfit of jeans and a T-shirt often looks awkward with a face completely made up with lots of foundation, mascara and bright red lipstick. However, a sparkly formal dress will look great with this makeup combination.

Preparing the skin for make-up is essential. You need to really cleanse tone and moisturise first. For me, it's all about the basics - if your foundation is flawless the rest of the make-up will look far more professional. Avoid applying too much product; this can result in an uneven finish, which looks and feels heavy.

Single or married, youthful or sophisticated, women want ways in which to enjoy each other's company. It's simple. All you need is an evening of 2 hours, a professional make-up artist and a great group of foxy girlfriends and you're on your way! Learn how to apply gorgeous makeup with lots of helpful tips such as skincare and prep, concealer and foundation techniques, introduction to brushes and tools, smokey eyes and the best colours to suit your skin tone, charming cheeks, sexy lips, sculpting the perfect brow, applying false eyelashes and more! All this while enjoying drinks and a few giggles in a great party atmosphere.

No make-up look is complete without lip color. Lipstick, lip gloss or even just a slick of lip liner will balance heavy eye looks and give fokus to the face when you are using more neutral eye shades. For long lasting lipstick apply Vaseline, and then use a soft toothbrush to remove dead skin cells, brushing gently. Aplly your foundation as you normally would, making sure you lightly cover your lips too. Apply suitable colour of lip liner and then apply your lipstick with a lip brush, blending from the middle down to the corners of the mouth.

You can apply metallic eye shadow over your entire eyelid for a real head turning look. Or you could use a more neutral shade like peach, brown or lilac, but highlight the inner corner of the eye by lining it with a silver or gold eye pencil. The lash out with black mascara. If you like, you could even attach crystals to your eye lashes, with false lash glue. Or you could use metallic mascara for gorgeous, magical lashes. Finally, take a large powder brush and lightly dust shimmer powder over your cheekbones, your forehead, nose and chin.

Disco night makeover start the evening with a bit of sparkle, perfect for birthdays, special occasions. Look like a movie star when you step out of your limo on your way to Ladies Night at the Races.

Spangles are one of the hottest items cosseted by party girls. Well-fitting one-piece dresses decorated with spangles will go well at the party. Wearing a black or white coat is recommended.

Moisturizing is the key to successfully applying makeup for any occasion. Make it a point to moisturize in the weeks prior to prom so your skin will be primed for application. Moisturized skin will serve and a base for your makeup and will prevent things like caked or flakey foundation allowing for a more even appearance.

Sexy Eye Makeup

Author: Asuncion Parra Llorente

Sexy, appealing eyes are nothing new to women. We have known for thousands of years how to attract and allure using the power of our eyes. Just look at the ancient Egyptians. Cleopatra certainly knew what she was doing using kohl to dramatically line her eyes.

Sexy eyes are not about shockingly bright colors; rather sexy eyes are about creating the perfect almond shaped eye. Women in the early 1900s knew that large, almond shaped eyes were appealing. Once again, we come full circle to the Egyptians and their heavily lined almond shape.

So how do we achieve a sexy eye without looking like a raccoon or a Halloween character?

How to Apply Sexy Eye Makeup

1. Begin applying sexy eye makeup with a clean and moisturized face. It is important for the makeup to not mix with oils and dirt from the skin. This could make the makeup look messy and just plain bad.

2. Keep the colors neutral when applying sexy eye makeup. Choose pallets in brown, charcoal, black, or gray. Bright colors may make the eyes appear smaller. Choose a vanilla tone to highlight. Vanilla works well on most women. White can be harsh for this effect.

3. Eyeliner will create the illusion of bigger, more seductive eyes. Eyeliner can also help to correct eye shape giving the eyes the desired almond shape which is characteristic of sexy eyes. Begin by lining the top lash line from the inner corner and extending the line slightly past the edge. Use a soft pencil or powder so that the line is not harsh. Harsh lines might make you look angry, not sexy. You can go over the line using an angled brush to create a smoother finish and fan out the edges so that the line is not too harsh.

4. Line the bottom outer third of the lower lid keeping close to the lash line and extend slightly past the edge.

5. Remember that we are going for an almond shape. Judge the line to see that it creates the shape of an almond. You may need to make the line thicker depending upon the shape of your eye. A perfectly shaped eye will immediately give the illusion of sexiness. If you look at fashion models in magazines, even the minimalist has carefully shaped the eye for an almond look.

6. For sexy eyes, we are going to open up the eyes to make them appear larger; therefore, we must gradually increase the color as we move toward the brow. Begin with dark shadow. If you line the eyes with brown, choose chocolate shadow. Apply color to the mobile eye making sure that the color intensity is darkest close to the lashes and outer third of the eye to create the desired almond shape of a sexy eye. The intensity should decrease as you move towards the crease.

7. Check for the desired shape and that the color intensity is equal on both eyes.

8. Apply shadow to the lower lid sweeping it towards the outer corner. Be sure to keep the intensity light or you may look like a raccoon. You can always increase the intensity if you desire. Concentration should b on the outer third.

9. Fill in the inner corner of the eye and above the brow bone using vanilla to highlight and open the eyes. This will make the eyes appear even larger and finish the sexy eye makeup.

10. Curl the lashes to further open the eyes and apply mascara to both top and bottom. Fan the lashes when applying the mascara to make the eyes appear sexy and large. Concentrate more mascara on the outer third of the lashes.

Makeup Application Techniques For Lips and Eyes

Makeup Application Techniques For Lips and Eyes

Author: Tony Edwards

They always say that makeup is an art. Rather than getting discouraged, there is something comforting in that. This means that with the proper instruction anybody can turn a drab look into something fantastic. All it takes is someone to show you what to do.

When you are planning for a big night out, it can be fun to try a new look. However, if you do not know what you are doing, the consequences can seem terrifying. We have all tried it, and later wished we did not. But, if you could have someone show you makeup application tips, would you be more interested in trying something new?

Learn fantastic advice about eyeshadow, eyeliner, lip liner and lip color. So, next time that you think of trying a new look, you will have the knowledge and confidence to apply a beautiful makeup application!

Brows

Next, you will be moving to the eyes. Place a small amount of color in your brows to even out the color of the brow. You may have brows that have thin or uneven spots. Use an eyeshadow powder in your brows to even them out.

Have you ever wondered where your eyebrows should begin and end?

This is where you will apply color to the brows.

Okay, here is a tip to know exactly where your brow should begin and end. To find the starting point for your eyebrows take a straight edge and hold it at the edge of your nose and inside corner of your eye. Where the straight edge meets the brow is where your brow should begin.

On the outside edge hold the straight edge at the corner of your nose and at the outside corner of your eye. This is where you should stop applying the color to create a perfectly shaped eyebrow.

Here is another tip to know where the arch of your eyebrow should be. Hold the straight edge at the corner of your nose and then across the center of your iris. This is where the arch of the eyebrow should begin.

You will want to use a shade of color that is about one to two shades lighter than the color of your hair. Then fill in and shape to make a very natural looking eyebrow.

If you are applying the eyeshadow on someone else, you will want to disinfect the brush each time before you put it back into the powder.

You can disinfect your brush by using alcohol with a special disinfectant.

Make a backward check mark with the brush, starting at the inside corner of the brow and then going backwards in a slight arch. Then fill in the color across the eyebrow. This will give you a small amount of natural color.

After you have applied your color to your brows using eyeshadow as the color or by using an eyebrow pencil, use a brow brush to reshape the brow and to even the color out going in the direction that the brow grows.

Eyeshadows

Use three different shades of eyeshadow colors.

First, you will use a lighter shade of eyeshadow color for your base. It will be applied from your eyelashes up to your brows. This helps to even out the tone of your eyelids and will make the rest of the colors go on very evenly.

The second shade of eyeshadow will be applied to your lower lid. You will apply it from the eyelashes to the crease of your eye, so that it will cover the whole lower eyelid.

The third shade will be the contour color, the darkest shade used that will be applied into the crease and to the corner of your eye.

Use an eyeshadow brush to apply the color all over your lid; this is the base shade.

Start at the center of your eye and work your way up and down applying from the eyelashes to the brow. Make sure the color is applied evenly so that the other colors go on evenly as well.

Make even strokes when applying the base shade. It is better to use longer strokes, as the colors will go on much more evenly than using short choppy strokes and it is gentler to your skin.

Next, apply the medium shade of color to the lower lids. Apply it from your lashes up to the crease in your eyelid. It goes from the center of the eye to the outside corner of the eye from the lashes up to the crease. Look for the natural crease; this is where you will stop applying the medium shade of your color.

The last portion of the eyeshadow is the contour color. It is the darkest shade that you will be using. Use an eye contour brush for the application. The contour brush is angled and has a point on the end. Place the point into the darker eyeshadow color and then apply it into the crease of your eyelids. Start in the center of the crease and work your way back and forth. Make sure to go back and forth several times blending in the crease as you go.

The secret to having a beautiful eye makeup application is the blending. Make sure to blend very, very well.

Start in the center and work your way to the inside corner of the eye two thirds of the way. Then fill in to the outside corner of the eye and along the bottom lashes about a third of the way in and continue blending.

Eyeliner

Next, you will be applying your eyeliner.

Start on the top lid in the center of her eyelid. When applying eyeliner, you want to make sure to use short strokes and then connect them. When using an eyeliner pencil, make sure to sharpen it to a sharp point so that the line looks very fine. You can build on it as much as you want. If you want extra eyeliner, you can add that as you go.

Start in the center of her eyelid and make a short line. Then, go from the inside corner over to the center and then from the outside corner over to the center. You want to make sure you are using short strokes then connect them. You want to look up; ensuring that it is applied evenly all the way across.

If applying on someone else, get them to look up towards the ceiling when applying the eyeliner on the bottom eyelid.

Start from the outside edge and work your way to the in. If a person has very large eyes, they may want to go all the way across. This will close the eye up and make it look smaller.

Usually, you are only going to go about three quarters of the way across (going all the way across will close the eye up and make the eye look smaller). Go about three quarters of the way across from the outside corner and then soften the look of the eyeliner on the bottom. Use a pointed Q-tip to lightly smudge the color so that it looks very even and soft.

Mascara

Next, you will be applying your mascara. When applying your mascara, make sure to take the mascara wand out of the container very slowly and work it out in a circular motion. Do not use a pumping motion. You will introduce air into the mascara and make it dry out very quickly.

If you get bacteria into the mascara, it could cause an eye infection. Be sure to replace your mascara every two to three months.

If applying mascara to someone else, get them to first look about three quarters of the way down when applying the mascara. Apply to the center of their lashes on the top and underneath their lashes. Then, get them to look straight ahead then to one side and then the other side. The changing of the direction of their eyes will allow you to get to the inside and outside lashes.

Start by applying the mascara as close to the base of the lash as you can and then wiggle your mascara wand back and forth to make sure to get in between the lashes. This will make them look fuller and thicker.

Let the mascara dry for a minute. Then go across the bottom lashes.

You can put mascara on the bottom lashes one or two ways; either by wiggling your mascara wand back and forth or you can hold your wand vertically while going across the bottom lashes. Make sure that you have all the lashes covered.

Lip liner

Always apply lip liner before applying your lip color (lip gloss or lipstick).

This will help to hold your color in place and it also helps to give a nice shape to the lips.

Trimming your lip liner to a very sharp point will give your lips a very well defined look.

When applying the lip liner start in the center of the bottom lip, then go from the outside corner to the center of the bottom lip and then the other outside corner into the center.

On the top go from the outside corner up to the peak of your top lip and then from the other outside corner up to the peak. Next, apply to the peak in the center of the top lip.

Filling your lips in with lip liner will help to hold your lipstick or lip gloss on longer.

This will give your lips color if your lipstick or lip gloss starts to fade.

Lip Color

Using a good lip brush will make your color go on very smoothly.

Using a lip brush apply the color directly to your lips.

Start in the center of the bottom lip and work your way out. If using lip stick, blot your lips and reapply.

Use a product that has shimmer in it. Apply it to the center of the bottom lip to give you that wet look that makes your lips pop!!

How Good is Yves Saint Laurent Makeup?

Author: Richard Runion

The cosmetics industry generates a turnover of billions of dollars. The standards for beauty have been set by Hollywood and Fashion; people appear to agree unanimously, with their taste. Makeup is not restricted to any age group of women. Most women accord importance to appearing fashionable.

A hundreds years ago, there was a snob value attached to the use of cosmetics, by women. Then films and television made their appearance and the use of cosmetics by movie stars helped increase the popularity of cosmetics, among people.

The cosmetics industry got a boost after World War II when the concept of flawless beauty was promoted aggressively through advertising. Thus, women around the world were convinced that cosmetics could make them look more beautiful.

Yves Saint Laurent, one of the leaders in the cosmetic industry, manufacture a wide range of products including perfumes, accessories, makeup, jewelry and fashion wear. They also have specialized makeup kits aimed at improving the user's overall looks, complexion, eyes, lips, and nails. These comprise of products like foundations, blushers, moisturizers, eye shadow, eye liner, lipstick, and others items like brush, etc.

Enhancer Oil Free is one such product from the company the use of which is claimed to strengthen the natural glow of the skin, using an anti-free radical ingredient which is known to protect skin. It helps reduce dark spots and imperfections and smoothen skin texture. Also, it has a fresh fragrance.

For eyes they offer Aqua resistant Mascara; its wheat germ and apricot seed contents are said to condition the user's eye lashes. The lashes are claimed to be softened by the water resistant formula, and the product is also said to prevent dehydration. As a result, the lashes appear longer and beautifully separated.

'Eyeliner Moire' is a liquid eyeliner by Yves Saint Laurent that comes in several shades like chocolate, burgundy, gold, bronze, steel, moss and marine. A built in flexibility brush to apply the eyeliner is also provided. For better results start from the base of the lashes and go to the outer corner

Eclat de Givre' is an Eye Shadow that comes as a powder, which converts into a cream on application. Eye shadows consist of three parts: a liquid foundation, a highlighter and the final main color. The liquid foundation is normally a light taupe and it provides the base for the eye shadow to cling on to; it also reflects the true color of the eye shadow.

Make up tends to fade during the course of a day, and needs to be removed daily to get rid of dust and pores. The company produces an eye makeup remover titled, 'Instant Pur'.

Some precautions can help enhance cosmetic use. For instance, you should never share your cosmetics with other users. Sharing cosmetics can increase the risk of contamination and contribute to bacterial buildup. Each person has different skin bacteria; hence, sharing with your sister at home or with a friend at work can lead to infection. Replace all cosmetics, within six months.

Never use old applicators like a brush or spoon in a fresh cosmetic product. The applicator will transfer bacteria to the new cosmetic. Don't use a makeup if odor develops or the color changes. This happens as a result of degradation of preservatives and the preservatives may no longer be able to fight bacteria.

A Woman's Guide to Applying Makeup When You Have Acne

A Woman's Guide to Applying Makeup When You Have Acne

Author: Paul Duxbury

Most teenage women face the unique challenge of applying makeup when pimples are prominent. There is a system to it that most women can follow that works quite well. The first step is to gently wash the face with cold water and soap. Then dab the face dry, carefully. After the face is dry, apply an astringent, which should be a part of every woman's beauty supplies. Almost any drugstore will carry something suitable to use as astringent. If you have several blemishes, try using a concealer or stick cover-up. This goes right on the blemish and can be blended in to hide the acne. Next, carefully use your fingers to apply foundation to the blemished area. Then continue with the rest of the face, applying foundation with the fingers. After these steps are complete, continue with standard application of the makeup, and follow up with an application of face powder. The end result should be less noticeable pimples.

Of course this is using standard makeup and the downside is that some makeup can clog the pores. Consider changing brands to a makeup that does not clog pores and perhaps even to a makeup that is designed specifically for teenagers who have acne problems. Many times these makeup will come with complete instructions. This can make the job a lot easier. Also these makeup products often contain a topical ingredient that kills bacteria and helps to clean out pores. Look for non-allergic makeup that can help reduced the redness and reactions of skin irritations.

In addition, preparation for application of makeup can be easier with proper hygiene. Over washing the face can actually damage the skin, but carefully washing the face once or twice a day, especially with cold water and a mild soap or cleanser can do wonders. Also proper skin care using moisturizers and exfoliants can help keep the skin clear and healthy and help to keep the acne problem in check.

Many young women choose to forego the wearing of makeup when acne is causing problems, but many teenage young women find that the anxiety of teenage years is lessened when one can wear makeup. Covering up the unsightly blemishes can raise their self-esteem. There is really no right or wrong concerning wearing make up over acne. Every young woman facing the problem of acne must make her own choice as to what is best for her in this instance. Just as young men must decide if shaving is something they want to engage in during acne outbreaks, young women must deal with acne and makeup.

Consulting a specialist in makeup can often be a good place to start when determining the type of makeup best to use during these years. Many department stores have makeup specialists who receive specialized training in this area. Most make up associates are particularly empathetic to the plight of the teenage girl, since they were once teenage girls themselves. Many of these department stores hold special workshops and seminars on makeup application, and those that cater to teenagers often take up the subject of acne blemishes and both how to cover them up properly and how to fight acne with proper skin care.

There are also direct sales organizations that specialize in providing high quality cosmetics to women, and many of these companies, with good reputations gained from years in the business, have specially designed products that fight acne and make the process of applying makeup during an outbreak easier than it used to be. Finding a good makeup artist who can help you with this process is a big help with the problem of acne and makeup application.

One tip that can help teenage girls that enjoy wearing makeup is to try several special products and visit local make up counters at the malls and department stores. This can help young girls find make up and other facial products that are helpful. When visiting department stores to find a specific brand of make up, try several lines and colors. Also, build trust with the sales associate so that you can get better tips about makeup. Make sure they understand that you suffer from acne and are looking for products to lessen the severity of outbreaks.

Actions to Avoid When Clearing Up Acne

There are many good and bad points to keep in mind when clearing up acne. Most of the good tips are usually a matter of common sense. Eat right, exercise, take vitamins and keep fit. Your immune system will fight off acne if you keep it strong. If you use medication, either prescription or over the counter, follow the directions you are given. Stay out of the sun. Use proper hygiene.

The list of "don'ts" might not be as obvious, but it is equally important. To start with, don't pop pimples. Many well meaning people will tell you to do so, but do not try this method. The result can make the problem worse. You could wind up driving the bacteria deeper into the skin or spreading the bacteria to other parts of the skin. This can create an infection that can be painful and just make the acne problem bigger.

Next, and perhaps most important, do not assume that everyone who gives you advice knows how properly handle acne outbreaks. Many people are well intentioned, but wrong. They will tell you to avoid fried foods, avoid chocolate, and get out in the sun. However, this advice is not accurate and can often lead to bigger issues. Regarding chocolate and fried foods, remember that while good nutrition is important and recommended, as is regular exercise, there is no medical or scientific data that shows a relationship of any kind between diet and acne. The old chocolate and fried foods myth is just that, a myth. Listen to what others say, but remember that you can still eat the foods you enjoy and take care of your skin.

If you are a man and are having a bad acne outbreak, be careful shaving. You may want to shave in patches on your face, use an electric razor, or simply wait and shave after the outbreak dissipates. If you are a woman, be careful during makeup application. Use makeup that do not clog pores, and if possible switch to makeup that includes antibacterial topical ointments as ingredients. If possible take a short class or seminar to learn the proper way to apply makeup during an acne outbreak.

Next, despite what some people have told you, the sun does not cure acne. If you go out in the sun remember that it can be hard on your skin. Wear sunglasses, wear a hat, and wear a sun blocking lotion or ointment. Go to the pharmacy and find a sunscreen that does not clog pores and you will be much better off and happier.

Do not wash your face to excess. Once or twice a day, gentle washing with cold water, and a mild soap or cleanser is all you need. Excessive washing of the face can damage the skin and lead to more acne problems.

If you are using a topical ointment, continue to do so. Make sure that is helps to unclog pores and kills bacteria, and choose an ointment that bacteria do not grow resistant to. Bacteria in the pores collects with dead skin and oil and grows, creating pimples that can be quite painful. Taking steps to keep pores unclogged and keeping bacteria in check will lead to fewer pimples, and hopefully they won't last as long. You can't give rid of pimples entirely, but you can reduce the numbers.

Don't think that you are alone in this. All teenagers have acne problems. All adults were once teenagers and went through the same thing you are going through now. People understand, so do not be embarrassed. Many teenagers make the mistake of letting acne ruin their self-esteem. They become embarrassed to go to school or to visit friends because of the large zit on the nose. Just remember that everyone has had a large zit on their nose at one time or another, and don't worry about it.

Also it is important to remember that if the acne problem is becoming worse, don't hesitate to consult a professional. A dermatologist can help you if your acne is out of control. See a medical professional and get information on all of the treatments available. Hormone treatment, topical antibiotics, oral antibiotics and even alternative treatments like acupuncture, light therapy and topical applications like tea tree oil area available. Take advantage of the fact that professionals are available who understand your problem and if you need one, consult one.

How to Apply Monsoon Makeup - Monsoon Makeup Tips

How to Apply Monsoon Makeup - Monsoon Makeup Tips

Author: peterhutch

In monsoons, dense makeup has a risk of being smudged and washed out severely and so light and sheer makeup is more advisable. Use waterproof mascara, transfer-resistant lipsticks and waterproof liners and may even use waterproof foundation, if it is a must for you. Indian girls can put their 'kajal' (kohl) away until winters. Here are some tips to keep you pretty when it is raining cats and dogs:

Tips on Monsoon Makeup

It is important to thoroughly wash and cleanse your face before putting on your make up. You can also rub an ice on your face for about five to ten minutes so it can lower the sweating rate of your face. These steps will let your makeup stay for a longer time.

Before wearing monsoon makeup, it is essential to put on a velvety base to cool and refresh your skin. For those who have oily skin, you can use an astringent while for those who have dry and normal skin can use a toner.

Using a foundation is not advisable for monsoon makeup instead a slight powder will do. Sheer films are also best as monsoon makeup. The sheer colors can be light brown, pastel, pink or beige cream eye shadow that can be used as well with eyeliners with thick lines. For lipstick, soft matte is the most preferable one for the ladies. It can be a pink shade or soft brown with sheer gloss.

Avoid wearing lip gloss during the monsoon season.

The main reason is because the rain will cause it to wash off. Instead, be sure to opt for a long lasting lipstick. You can really wear whatever shade of long lasting lipstick you prefer, but remember that it is always best to go natural during any time of the year. Since most people do not tend to overdress during monsoon season, you will probably want to choose shades of pinks, browns or peaches. Reds and bolder colors can easily be worn at night, however.

Grow your eyebrows out before the monsoon season comes.

That way, you will not need to worry about using an eyebrow pencil to achieve the eyebrows that you are interested in. An eyebrow pencil may also wash off your face during monsoon season, which is probably something that you may be too embarrassed by to want to experience. The best thing that you can do is pluck, trim or wax your eyebrows to get the design that you want.

Preparing the Base

Base of makeup is prepared by foundation. If you can do without it, nothing is better than that. If necessary, apply as little as possible. If you apply cream foundation, it gets melt with water easily. Powder foundations are better than this. Face powder is even better.

You can use silicon base foundation as it gets blended with skin and becomes its part. On the other hand, if you use water-based foundation, it will get patchy with even one drop of water. You can apply just moisturizer and then translucent powder. Do not apply excess of powder; instead use it sparingly because when wet it gives sickly and chalky look.

Makeup Tips - 3 Gorgeous Makeup Styles To Try For A Party

Makeup Tips - 3 Gorgeous Makeup Styles To Try For A Party

Author: Janice Tham

Going for a Christmas party, a new year party or a birthday party? How are you going to do your makeup?

A look at the models on the catwalks of some of the more flamboyant fashion shows reminds one of a cross between Tinkerbell and Xena, the warrior princess. You know, Amazonian height but with fairy makeup.

Now that is a look which is perfect for parties. All you need is shimmer makeup.

A point to note. Anyone above forty should avoid all out shimmer as while the shine highlights facial features, it also draws attention to existing fine lines and wrinkles. If you are young and your face is line-free, fantasy makeup is the way to go.

Makeup Style #1. Fantasy Makeup.

For that ethereal look, get a shimmery eye shadow or a shimmer powder in silver, gold, bronze, or any flattering color that captures your fancy. You would also need a brilliant lip gloss to go over your lipstick.

Wear a lipstick that you like, which flatters you. Then go over it with the shimmery gloss. Add some shimmer powder or gold or silver flecks to the center of your lip to emphasize your pout.

For the eyes, how far dare you go?

You can apply metallic eyeshadow over your entire eyelid for a real head turning look.

Or you could use a more neutral shade like peach, brown or lilac, but highlight the inner corner of the eye by lining it with a silver or gold eye pencil.

Then lash out with black mascara.

If you like, you could even attach crystals to your eye lashes, with false lash glue. Or you could use a metallic mascara for gorgeous, magical lashes.

Finally, take a large powder brush and lightly dust shimmer powder over your cheekbones, your forehead, nose and chin.

Makeup Style #2. Dramatic Eye Makeup

Do you want Egyptian makeup or smoky eye makeup?

Both feature dramatic eyes.

However, strong eyes and strong lips would clash, so keep your look classy by going for nude lips.

For starters, do you want to use false lashes as well?

If you want really dramatic lashes, start off by trimming false lashes to fit your eyes and applying them according to the manufacturer's instructions. Or you could just use 3 coats of mascara instead when you are done.

With a makeup brush, put on the eyeshadow over the entire eyelid. For the Egyptian look, you can go for a medium shade of eye shadow, but use liquid black liner to draw a thick line on the upper lash line. Thicken the line as you move towards and beyond the outer corner of the eye. Line the lower lash line with an eye pencil if you find the liquid liner too tricky.

For smoky eyes, go for a deeper eyeshadow like charcoal, plum, midnight blue, deep green.. you get the picture. Apply the shadow over the entire eye lid. Then line upper and lower lashes with a black eye pencil and smudge the line. Finally, apply mascara.

Pick a nude shade for the lipstick or use a light lip gloss so that your lips do not compete with your eyes.

If you want goth makeup, leave your cheeks pale. If not, then use a blusher to contour your face or for radiance.

Makeup Style #3. Luscious lips.

If your lips are sensuous, or anything remotely like Angelina Jolie's, then focus on your lips.

For your eyes, apply a peach or nude brown shadow and a single coat of mascara.

Then choose a strong red lipstick, or a deep wine shade for your lips.

Use a lip pencil to line the lips. The use a lip brush to fill in your lips with your chosen lipstick. Use some blusher to add color to your cheeks and you are done.

These tips assume that you already have a great base to work with. Meaning, start off with foundation over your face for a great canvas.

Smooth Flawless Looking Skin Using Mineral Makeup

Smooth Flawless Looking Skin Using Mineral Makeup

Author: Marilyn Etzel

Brush away blemishes using mineral makeup. All natural mineral makeup evens out blotchy skin tones using a surprisingly light application. The natural ingredients in mineral makeup, such as zinc oxide, sooth your skin and provide great coverage. For your skin to look it's best, mineral makeup like all foundations must be applied carefully.

Prepare your skin well and your complexion will look great all day. Regardless of your skin type you should look for a gentle cleanser, as well as a toner to regulate the ph of the skin and diminish the look of pores, and a moisture rich lotion or primer. Make sure your primer or moisturizer is completely dry before applying your foundation.

A good sunscreen is always a must even if you are not out in the sun much. Even limited exposure can cause sun damage , which leads to premature aging. Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are two common ingredients in mineral makeup that are excellent natural sunscreens. Skin also needs to be exfoliated to keep the pores clear and unclogged, but harsh exfoliates should be avoided. Milder, oatmeal-based facial scrubs can help unplug the oily pores, and are much kinder to sensitive skin. Without these basic cleansing actions, skin tone becomes dull and uneven and cannot protect itself against the environmental stress it encounters everyday.

Mineral concealer is ideal for acne and rosacea sufferers as it provides complete coverage of blemishes at the same time helping to heal and calm inflammations with the high levels of zinc oxide. Instead of covering spots or acne with a liquid oil concealer that can further clog your pores, dab on an anti-acne formula and use a mineral powder concealer to hide acne and to absorb excess oil.

If you prepare your skin properly first, your mineral makeup will glide on and give you flawless coverage while protecting your skin.

Know the Benefits of Makeup

Author: peterhutch

Cream foundation comes in several forms: the original cream, a lighter mousse version, a heavier stick version, and a "pancake" version, a powder that turns creamy after spraying it with water. There's also a relatively new hybrid called cream to powder foundation (also called dual-finish foundation), which looks like a powder and applies like a cream if you wet it, and then dries to a powder finish.

Mineral Makeup is makeup made from naturally occurring pigments from the earth. It’s non-comodegenic (non-pore clogging) and so doesn’t irritate the skin or even penetrate it – it’s a perfect solution for sensitive skin and mature skin and a smart, common sense alternative for all of us who want to keep our skin beautiful and problem free. We all are aware by now that the majority of the things put in cosmetic products are at the least unhealthy and with continued exposure, can even be life threatening. So when there’s a better alternative out there, it behooves us to at least check it out.

Colorescience is a mineral makeup and skin treatment all in one. Unlike traditional makeup, Colorescience products have been shown to have a positive effect on the condition of the skin. The Suncanny foundations & the Sunforgettable powders provide full spectrum UVA/UVB protection with zinc and titanium dioxide. The loose mineral pigments are hypoallergenic, purely natural, no additives, talcs, alcohol, dyes, mineral oil, preservatives or perfumes. They are free of traditional ingredients that can irritate the skin or clog the pores. The loose minerals are naturally anti-inflammatory and form a protective barrier over the skin protecting it from environmental pollutants. Not only does Colorescience mineral makeup nourish the skin its mineral components reflect light giving your skin a natural glow.

Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are two minerals that are a very powerful sun block. At an SPF 20, they can protect your face from damaging UVA, UVB and URA rays. For this reason alone, mineral-based makeup is recommended by dermatologists and plastic surgeons during the healing time after surgery. Mineral makeup actually promotes and speeds up healing time. You also need not buy a separate sun block. This amazing product has the sun block built right in!

The benefits that you will get from mineral makeup will really vary according to the brand that you choose. Many types of mineral makeup do include UV protection, which will help prevent you from developing skin cancer due to sun exposure. Mineral makeup is also known to be a great choice for women of all skin types. If you have sensitive skin, then there’s a good chance that mineral makeup may be the best option for you.

There is no doubt that mineral makeup is certainly worth a try, with the many benefits that it has to offer. If you have not already given some consideration to using mineral makeup, then perhaps you may do so. It can really change the way that you feel about using any other type of makeup.

There are other benefits to using organic cosmetics and skin care as well. For example, the less chemicals and artificial products that are contained in your skin care products, the less of a chance you will have an allergic reaction to them. Many people have found that certain cosmetics have triggered asthmatic reactions that are no longer triggered when using organic makeup.
